Midwifery Nursing

Midwifery is the health profession or practice of assisting women in childbirth. A professional in midwifery is called as a midwife. Midwives are the community of midwifes who actually take care of the women bearing a child with help of consultants and referrals. The actual duty of the midwife is to look after a pregnant women and her baby throughout the antenatal period, during labour and child birth. Most exposed populations in global health are women and children. Hence, making the Nurse Midwife and Family Nurse Practitioner program is logically fit for students interested. Programs teach advanced practices to midwives in order to better meet the need of the patients.
